In one of the most historic college basketball games ever, Duke forward Christian Laettner hits a last-second jumper as Duke defeats Kentucky 104-103. The win puts Duke into its fifth straight Final Four appearance all under Krzyzewski.

Duke Wins Second Straight Championship

Krzyzewski leads Duke to its second consecutive National Championship. The Blue Devils defeat Michigan, 71-51, joining (to this point in time) UCLA as the only teams to repeat as National Champs.

Krzyzewski Wins 500th Game

Duke defeats Villanova, 98-85, to give Krzyzewski his 500th career win as Duke’s head coach, becoming the third coach to win 500 games at one school in 21 seasons or less. The floor that the team plays on in Cameron Indoor Stadium is officially named Coach K Court following the win.

Duke Wins Sixth ACC Title Under Coach K

Coach K claims his sixth ACC Championship and 600th career win as the Blue Devils defeat North Carolina 79-53.

Krzyzewski Wins Third National Title as Duke

Krzyzewski becomes just the fourth coach to win three National Championship as the Blue Devils defeat Arizona 82-72. Behind Krzyzewski’s leadership, the Blue Devils set a record for most wins in a four-year period with 133 victories.

With a 73-71 win over Michigan in the NCAA Tournament, Krzyzewski becomes just the second coach to win 900 or more career games. The win, Krzyzewski’s 900th, puts him within two wins of tying Bob Knight for the Division I wins mark.
