This is one of the first forms of Windows that gathered alot of attention. -
Windows 95
This was codenamed "Chicago". Introduced numerous functions and features that were featured in later Windows versions, such as the taskbar, the 'Start' button. -

This was the successer to Windows NT 3.51. It shows the more modern look to Windows. -
Windows 98
Windows 98 (codenamed Memphis while in development) is a graphical operating system by Microsoft. It is the second major release in the Windows 9x line of operating systems and the successor to Windows 95. It was released to manufacturing on May 15, 1998 and to retail on June 25, 1998. -
Windows 98SE
This is the second edition to Windows 98, with improvements to certain parts of the software. -
Windows 2000
This was part of the Windows NT family it was orginally named NT 5.0 beta. It was later renamed due to it's release being in the year 2000. -
Windows XP

It's got the app interface you didn't ask for. It is said to be faster than most versions of Windows up until that point, alot of people dide just want to keep their Windows 7 instead of Windows 8. -

This was an update required to maintain support after Windows 8 and it is unlike the service packs from yesteryear, it is the new age of Microsoft update out of no where, that you weren't to sure you want. -

This is the lastest version of Windows that takes the best things from 7.0, 8.0, and 8.1 all into one version that you have little, to no choice but to get this. Windows 10.0
