    Between 1991 and 2005, Michelle worked in corporate law (1991), executive directing (for the Chicago Office of Public Allies in 1993), she joined the University of Chicago as associate dean of student services (1996), and she was also Vice President for Community and External Affairs at the University of Chicago Medical center (2005).
