MIchelangelo was born on the 6th of March 1475 in Caprese in the Republic of Florence

He created his "Pieta" which is now kept in St. Peter's Basilica.

He created his worldy known sculpture "David" which is now in Galleria dell'Accademia.

He met his muse Tommaso dei Cavalieri while he was still 23. Many poems were written by Michelangelo for him or inspired by him.

He met with his companion Cecchino dei Bracci who dies only a year later. In his poems, Michelangelo wishes he'd have spent more time with him.

He died in his home in Rome following a brief illness.
