Trench Warfare
The Trench Warfare was during World War One. It was a time when soldiers dug trenches in order to protect them selves from their enemy. The area between the oposing sides (known as no mans land) was fully expsed to fire from both sides. -

The Great Depression
The Great Depression was a time during World War 2 when the stock market crashed. One forth of the people did not have jobs. People lived in Hoovervilles- areas of homes that were built out of anything they could find. Also, the woman and there children would get food in there own comfort of there house. When the men had to stand in line to get soup. The Great Depression stopped when Roosevelt took office.

The Holocaust
The Holocaust was the mass murder or the murder of aproximentely 6 million Jews. The leader of the group was Adolf Hitler. Over 1 milliom Jewish children were killed. A network of over 40,000 facilties in Geremany and German occupied territory was used to concentrate, hold, and kill Jews and other victims.

Atomic Bomb - Japan
On August 6th, 1945 the United States used a massive. atomic weapon against Japan. This atomic bomb was filled with 20,000 tons of TNT that flattened the city. Killing tens of thousands of civilians. In 1950, communist North Korea invaded non-communist South Korea. During the Korean War, the United States and other dmorcratic countries sent toops to support South Korea. China supported South Korea. The war ended in 1953 in a stalemate. -
