    He was born in 1725. In november of 1764, he went to veracruz in the Juan de Villabla Expedition.In 1767 he proceeded on to another presidio.
  • Philip Nolan

    In 1790, he came to Texas. He then went back to show the govenor a plan to capture mustangs. He went on many expositions to capture mustangs. He was shot and killed by the spanish in present day Waco,Tx.
  • Father Miguel Hildago

    He was a priecher for missions. Every year on Sep.13 the president of Mexico repeats his famous speech. He was captured and shot as a rebel on July 31.
  • Augustus Magee

    He began recruting for a force later known as the Gutierrez Magee Expedition. Later that year, he left natchidoches and crossed the Sabine River to meet up with Gutierrez. He remained in command until until his death in 1813.
  • Jose Gutierrez de Lara

    In January 1812, he made plans for the liberation of Texas and Mexico. In March, he was introduced to William Shaller. He helped Gutierrez get back to Texas.
  • Battle of Medina

    This battle was faught on, August 13, 1813.There were about 1400 men involved in this battle. Less then 100 men walked out of the battle alive.
  • Jean Lafitte

    He was an agent for spain. In 1819 he called his settlement in Galvestown and Galveston. He was captured later in 1819 by 2 U.S. ships.
  • Dr. James Long

    He was part of the long expedition. The goal of the expedition was to conquer Texas. He was placed in command later on. In 1822 he shot and killed a guard.
  • Merger of coahilla y Texas

    In 1823 they wrote the Federal constitution. The legislature attempted to brind the couhilla and Texas people closer together.
  • Mexican Federal Constitution

    Congress had the final decision on the constitution. Two houses met from Jan 1 to April 15. Stephen.F.Austin conferred with the leaders.
  • State colonization law

    After the fall of itubide, they adopted this. Passed on August 18,1824. The titles were limited to residends.
  • State constitution

    Divided the state into three departmants. Texas spent two years framing this. The goveners had full ower over it at the time.
