Medgar Evers was born July 2, 1925, In Decatur, MS. His childhood was harsh because his father died because he talked to a white woman and of course racism.

Evers entered Alcorn because he served in the World War II. Even though it was a black school they still had to give him an education. While he was at the university he met Myrlie and married her in 1951.

In 1954 Evers joined the NAACP while he was their he started working on selling insurance. Then couple of months later he got promoted to the secretary position.

During his campaign wanted to desegregate the schools so he boycotted against Board of Education case to desegregate schools and have equality. Declared segregated was unconstitutional.

Evers is investigating blacks deaths to prove the KKK was doing wrong to the blacks and also wanted to prove that we should have equality.

After all the boycotting and protesting Evers still had a massive resistance to Whites. He kept confidence that they would have equality.

Medgar died on June 12, 1963 he got ambushed by a white merchant shot him.
