When the Declaration of Independence was made John Dunlap was asked to make 200 copies of it for the colonies. In 1989 someone found a Dunlap copy and it sold for over 8 million dollars. The five men who mostly helped were Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Robert Livingston, and Roger Sherman. Roger Sherman never sighned it because he thought it was to early to declare independence.It was sighned on July 4,1776 but they declared independence on July 2,1776. -
