T.V Transmission
Farnsworth made his first successful electronic television transmission on September 7, 1927, and filed a patent for his system that same year. Farnsworth continued to perfect his system and gave the first demonstration to the press in September 1928. -
Henry Luce
Henry Luce was a journalist. In 1923, he began publishing Time, the first weekly news magazine. He introduced Fortune, the prototypical business magazine in 1930. In 1936 Luce pioneered the photojournalism magazine genre with Life. His empire also included radio and newsreel journalism with the March of Time. -
Radio
In the 1940’s, the radio was the most used type of media. The radio was very useful during and after World War II. People were able to receive information about the war faster than they could through newspapers. -
Television
During the 1950’s, television became a huge form of media. It was able to give information using sound and pictures. It became more entertaining and useful. -
Satellite communications
Satellite communications was introduced in the 1960’s. This gave television the power to communicate world events in real-time. -
Reconstruction of the radio
In the 1970’s, people owned more AM radios than FM radios. By the end of the 1970’s, FM stations adopted popular music as their main stray, which dominated the radio market. This made people want to own the FM radios instead of the AM. -
Computer
In 1984, Apple came out with the first computer that came with a graphical user interface(GUI) and a mouse. This made computers easier to use which made people want them in their homes. -
Windows 3.0
Windows 3.0 is the third major release of Microsoft Windows. It was launched in the 1990’s. Like its predecessors, it is not an operating system, but rather a graphical operating environment. Windows 3.0 sold 10 million copies before it was succeeded by Windows 3.1 in 1992. -
Internet
In the 2000’s, the internet was introduced. It linked people together through computers and allows people to explore beyond what was given to them. -
Instagram
Instagram is an American photo and video sharing social networking service. Instagram allows people to share opinions and see how other people live around the world. This gives people access to information that’s given out by anyone who using uses instagram.
