to the parents of Clyde and Mary "Molly". When Marrion was born he weighed in a 13 pounds! his middle name was origionally Mitchell but was changed by his parents when they had another kid and decided to name him Robert.

Marion started collage in 1925 and worked as a truck driver, fruit picker, soda jerk, and an ice hauler. John wayne attended University of Southern California. He was an honer student and even had a football scholorship. His second year playing he broke his ancle and dropped out.
