Since the day I was born, I was raised into a Pentecostal home; therefore, this was the very first book ever read to me.

Every day at the same time I would learn a different letter and numbers and ten through Elmo I would learn many different lessons that would be beneficial towards life.

As I was growing up, the show Reading Rainbow was popular. I disliked it so much, I don't know if it was because of the way the show was presented but I did not enjoy it. The only good thing that I learned from this show was that they would show books that would interest my age group.

This series was so enjoyable that I read them all perhaps even twice.

Junie B. Jones was fun to read, she was so adventurous and had a great imagination. When I read these books it was as if I was in the book myself.

I loved watching Arthur every time I would come home from school, because of this show I enjoyed reading the books as well.

This was the very last series I ready in elementary school and the last serieve I ever read as well. There were so many books but I enjoyed every single one. Even though the book was about teens, it caught my attention because it involved teens babysitting and I loved babysitting.

In 8th grade our teacher had us read the very first Harry Potter book, I cannot say I enjoyed it very much. Perhaps because they were so long and I did not enjoy fiction books.

When my first nephew was born, he lived at my mom's. I tried to teach him the basics and also would read to him when I could. He would actually listen and ask questions which was amazing. Up till this day he loves to read even though he gets distracted at time.

I read this book my freshman year in high school. It was about a relationship between a girl and a guy that went through many things because they wanted to to take it to a different level. It went into details and at it captured my attention.

In 11th grade, we started reading shakepeare. Even though I didn't comprehend his writing his plots were very unique.

Senior year we had a project that involved making a movie with a poem and pictures. It was easy but interesting to see what poem described every individual in our classroom.

Fall semester of 2011, our class had the pleasure of going to an elementary school in Denton. I had a bilingual student and so I would read to her in Spanish. At first she was very shy but then at the end when it was the last day of going, she gave me a big hug and thanked me for going to her school.

In one of my reading class, we had a project where we had to test kids at the age level of 7. I ended up doing it on my 2nd oldest nephew and it involved me reading to him and vice versa. Also, it involved him writing and doing word recognition. It took about 2 hours to do this project but I highly enjoyed it because everyone else in class showed their projects as well.

This is the first literacy class and it is showing me the appropriate books for each grade level. I know this class is going to be very beneficial for my teaching career.
