Manuel Noriega was born February 11th 1934 in Panama city. His parents were Maria Feliz Morena and Ricaurte Noriega. His parents abonaded Manuel when he was five and he was raised by his Aunt. -
Marriage
He married Felicidad Sieiro de Noriega in the late 1960s and is currently married to her. They have three girls Sandra Noriega, Thays Noriega, and Lorena Noriega. -
Education
He received intelligence and counterintelligence training at the School of the Americas at Fort Gulick, Panama, in 1967. He also took another course in psychological operations at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. -
Useful
In 1971 he became useful to U.S. intelligence and the Nixon administration. -
Promoted to General
In 1983, Manuel Noriega unified the armed forces into the Panamanian Defense Forces, then he got promoted to the rank of general and became de facto leader of Panama. -

He was military dictator of Panama from 1983 to 1989. -

Noriega made himself valuable to the US during the Contra wars when he allowed the US to set up listening posts in Panama and by helping the US campaign against the leftist Sandinista regime in Nicaragua. -

Secret negotiations between U.S. officials and Noriega's representatives called for him to resign and leave the country before the 1988 U.S. presidential election. -

Manuel Noriega, the strongman of Panama, was finally taken down by a U.S. military operation, captured, and brought to Miami for trial on drug charges in 1989. -
Back to jail
Manuel said he was “excited” about returning back to Panama but then he was taken straight to prison to serve a 20-year sentence for the murders of opponents during his rule in July 2010.
