  • Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany

    At this time the Nazi Party takes power in Germany and they "temproarily" suspend civil liberties.
  • Hitler becomes 'Fuhrer' or leader of Germany.

  • Jews are deprived of their citizenship and other basic rights.

  • Nazis boycott Jewish-owned businesses and Jews no longer have the right to vote.

  • Kristallnact, the "Night of the Broken Glass" occurs.

    Nazis terrorize Jews throughout Germany and Austria. 30,000 Jews are arrested.
  • German Jews are stripped of their rights.

    They can no longer head businesses or attend social events.
    Jewish children are segretated into their own Jewish schools.
    They no longer can have a diver's license or car registrations.
    Have to follow strict rules and have curfews.
  • Jews are forced into ghettos and are put into concentration camps.

  • Jews across Western Eurpe are being forced into ghettos and more rights are taken away.

  • Nazi officials discuss the "Final Solution" to the government officials.

    The final solution was their plan to kill all European Jews in order to create the Aryan race.
  • 80-85% of all the Jewish people who would die in the Holocaust already have been murdered.

  • Hitler takes over Hungary and begins deporting 12,000 Hungarian Jews each day to Auschwitz where they are murdered.

  • Hitler is defeated and World War II ends in Europe.

    Holocaust is over and the camps are emptied. Many survivors are placed in displaced persons facilities.
  • At Nuremburg, Nazi leaders are tried for war crimes by the above Judicial assembly.
