This battle is also important because the Confederate victory have the South confidence which shocked the North. The battle killed more than 5,000 which was just the beginning of more deaths coming.

    The Battle of Wilson’s Creek was the first major battle of the Trans-Mississippi Theatre of the Civil War. This battle was so significant because it gave the Confederates control over southwestern Missouri. The Battle of Wilson’s Creek came to and end after the Confederates victory. This was because Lyon failed to destroy the Missouri State Guard and was then killed in the process.

    The Battle of Seven Pines is also better known as Fair Oaks or Fair Oaks Station. This battle took place in Virginia as part of the Peninsula Campaign of the Civil War. This was important because it drove the Union Army back to the James River and saved the Confederate capital. The Confederate Army had won this battle.

    The Battle of Mavern Hill is also better known as the Battle of Poindexter’s Farm. This battle was fought between the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia and the Union Army. The battle also took seven days for the victory of the Union tactical victory.

    This battle was fought from July 1-3, 1863 around Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This battle had the most casualties of the entire war. It’s also better known as the war’s turning point. The plan was to invade the North and end the war, but that failed. This battle was also a Union victory.

    Battle of Fort Pillow or better known as the Fort Pillow Massacre. This battle was fought on the Mississippi River during the Civil War. During the massacre it became a rallying point for enslaved people fighting for their freedom, and it hardened the resolve of black Union soldiers.

    The Battle of Stedman was also better known as the Battle of Hare’s Hill. This battle was fought during the final weeks of the Civil War. The Union Army was attacked in a predawn Confederate assault by troops. The battle ended in a Union victory is Petersburg, VA.
