  • First day of private school

  • I discovered I like to sing

    My discovery of me liking to sing is searching for myself and revealing myself because I discovered it when my parents and sisters were singing and I didn't sing much because I had severe allergies which affected my breathing, but I decided to try it and do something the rest of my family did & I liked it. This is like Lawrence because he couldn't really do many things because of his asthma, so when he did something that let him bond with his dad he felt like he was part of the family.

  • First Day of Public School

  • I read a poem on stage by myself for the first time

    This was me searching & denying my true self because I already knew that I didn't like to read, but I wanted to see if I liked being in front of people sharing my stories. This is like Lawrence because he knew he didn't like killing animals, but he wanted to see if he could learn to tolerate it so he could bond with his father.

  • I started being afraid of dogs.

    This was a hardship and me denying my true self because I knew I didn't like animals, and when I tried to play with one, I almost got attacked. This is like Lawrence because when he went with his dad to do something he wouldn't normally do, he got scared and felt like the rat was charging at him, which was like the almost attack in my case.

  • I learned to play softball

    This was revealing & searching for myself because I hadn't ever played a sport & wasn't really that athletic, but when I started watching my family play I thought I would try it and that's the only sport that I have played & I feel like it gave me something to bond with my family about. This is like Lawrence because he had never been able to do anything that his brother or father did, so when he got to do something that his dad did, he got something to bond over.

  • I learned I hated pig foot

    This was revealing myself because a lot of people in my family like pig foot, it didn't look good but my family ate them, so I tried them, but ended up not liking them. This is like Lawrence because his family played sports, but he knew he wouldn't be good at it. He tried it anyway, but didn't like it.

  • I tried writing stories

    This is searching and denying myself because i wanted to see if I was good at anything academically, so I tried writing. I knew I didn't like writing assignments but thought that if I wrote what I wanted to I would like it, but hated it. This is like Lawrence because he knew sports wasn't his thing, but tried to bond with his dad and brother and tried it. He didn't like it and stopped.

  • I became and older sister

  • I accidentally locked myself in a sound studio for 30 minutes

    This was a hardship because I was little and didn't have anything to contact anyone. This is like Lawrence because I think that Lawrence was stuck in emotional containment because he felt like he shouldn't belong in the family because he a) couldn't play sports, and b) because he felt like he let his father down while trying to bond, therefore losing what he felt was love, and also to him emotional contact with his father.

  • I switched schools for the 3rd time

    This was a hardship because I felt like I never had a chance to make close friends and bond with people. This is like Lawrence because he felt like he never had a chance to bond with his father because he couldn't do some of the things that his father liked to do.

  • I met my 2 best friends

  • I acted in my first musical

    This was searching and revealing myself because I knew that I liked singing and acting, so I thought it would be fun doing them at the same time. It also helped that my sisters and I were doing it together and got to hang out more over this fact. This is like Lawrence because He tried to do things with his brother and father to hang out over.

  • I got to be in a short film

    This was revealing myself because I learned that I liked acting and that the more I acted, the more me and my family would bond because they liked acting too. This is like Lawrence because he learned that the more he was himself, the more he bonded with his dad other than doing something that wasn't him.

  • I won my first award

    This was revealing myself because I revealed that I was trust worthy`and that I could be like other people. This is like Lawrence because he thought that if he got the award of the rat's head that he could be like other people in his family.

  • I Moved Houses

  • I got my first dog

  • I went to middle school

  • I got the lead in my school's musical

    This was revealing myself because showed that being confident gets you a long way even if you feel you aren't good because I tried out against 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and got the part of the lead. This is like Lawrence because he felt like because he couldn't do 1 thing, he couldn't do anything and that wasn't true. If he put his mind to it he could've over came his asthma.

  • I got student of merit

    This was revealing myself because I revealed that I liked getting good grades and that surprisingly, I actually cared about school ;D. This relates to Lawrence because he never thought he would like trying to kill things with his dad, but he did like trying with his dad because he got to spend time with him.

  • I Caught my "Best Friend" Talking about me on Instagram.

    This was a hardship because when I thought I was finally fitting in with my friends of about 4 years now, I found out I don't actually fit in. This is like Lawrence because he tried to fit in with his dad by trying to kill the rat, but by retreating he felt like he didn't fit in anymore.

  • I got my second Student of Merit award
