Founded in by Ben Berger in 1947, the Lakers are one of the NBA's most famous and successful franchises. The Lakers have been synonymous with Los Angeles for most of their history, the team was first based in Minneapolis. It was named “Lakers” as an homage to the more than 10,000 lakes in the state. -

2020 NBA Championship
Led by Lebron James and Anthony Davis the Lakers will end the 10 year drought and win another championship in the year 2020. They would win this NBA title in the heat of a pandemic. They had to play in a bubble to continue their season after it had been ended because of the pandemic. After winning that last title that will put them in second place for the most NBA championships as a franchise with 16 behind the Boston Celtics with 17.
