Watchman Nee publishes his work and beliefs on Christian Faith and churches after moving to Shanghai, China.
-
Nee broke bread with non-brethren Christians in London. This was a problem because Nee had disagreed with celebrating the Lord's supper with only Christians that came to the meetings. The exclusive brethren found out and terminated fellowship with Shanghai because of this.
-
Before this date Nee had set up around 700 local churches with the help of others. -
After this movement began to remove foreign influence from churches in China Nee's local churches began to increase in size.
-
Nee was sent to prison during the Five-Anti Campaign (campaign to end the ownership of private property during the Korean War)
-
Nee died in a labor camp after being imprisoned while another helper of the movement (Lee) had grown the movement to 65 churches and 20,000 members. -
There are now 250 churches and over 30,000 members today on 6 continents.
