  • Birth

    Born in New York to Puerto Ricans. Spanish was spoken everyday they to learn English very soon.
  • Listening

    Listening to Spanish frequently with some command: like agua, or leche, dame, bibi
  • Communicating

    Transmitted some words or short sentences in spanish and some commands in english like water, bibi, no, mio, mine, mom,dad, mama, papa, etc.
  • Nursery stage

    Fully spoken english American Nursery.
  • Mexican Babysitter

    Mexican babysitter Maria only spoke Spanish:)
  • Kindergarten St.Sylvester

    School with americans, asians, italians, chinese , latins and many other multicultural children.At Chicago, Ilinios.
  • Conversations, playing and TV programs

    Every conversation with my brother Andy, cousins and friends in school and around the block was held in English, Home my parents where practicing too. TV and movies were seen in English. Kids loved speaking english.
  • Moving to Puerto Rico

    My parents wanted to be near the family again. Chicago is a very cold place and my mom started feeling sick so by the time I realized the situation. I was in flying to Puerto Rico.
  • Middle school

    I really didn't like the school . Everything changed my friends, environment, house ,school was so different I begged and cried for a whole year so my parents would take my bach to the United States.Learning spanish grammar and writing was very hard!
