    Hamilton premieres at the Public Theater, off-broadway on February 17, 2015. It has its second premiere on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Lin Manuel Miranda plays Alexander Hamilton during the workshops all the way until 2016 performances. He has come back to the role in 2019, where he went on some of the US tour. He got 16 tony nominations and won 11 of them. It was one short of the record. Hamilton still has performances to this day on broadway.
  • Puerto Rico Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Act (PROMESA)

    Miranda supported the act that was supposed to help with debt relief in Puerto Rico. It resulted in the closure of 200 schools, government labor benefit cuts, and budget cuts at the University of Puerto Rico. It caused a lot of backlash and Miranda acknowledges that it didn't go the way he was hoping for.

    During the devastation of hurricane Maria he wrote a song, "Almost Like Praying" which got $22 million. He used that money for the Hispanic Federation to help with relief to Puerto Rico

He originally wasn't supposed to be in the movie but his appearance was VITAL. The movie stars Anthony Ramos who was John Laurens & Phillip Hamilton in Hamilton.
