    Lilly Playing at Preschool

On this day, Lilly went up to the two new kids at her preschool and asked if they wanted to play superheroes with her. Stage 3 of Erikson's stages, is Initiative vs Guilt, where children between the ages of 3 and 5 start to plan and initiate activities with others. Though if they are punished or restricted too much from this, they develop a sense of guilt. if too much guilt is developed it will inhibit their interactions with others and creativity.

    Career Fair at School

After a school career fair, Lilly thought about what she wanted to do in the future. She gravitated towards social work, after a stop at a local youth center booth. This is Erikson's 5th stage, Identity vs Role Confusion, where adolescents start to discover who they are and what they want to be. The crisis in this stage is when the person is not sure of who they are or want to be, causing an identity crisis and role confusion.
  • Mid-Life Reflection - Generativity vs Stagnation

Mid-Life Reflection - Generativity vs Stagnation

Lilly reflects on her life at age 45. She has fostered and raised 5 amazing children. Helped many children through the system, and volunteers weekly at the local youth center's afterschool program. She knows she has touched many peoples lives for the better. This is Erikson's 7th stage, Generativity vs Stagnation. This is where we see a crisis with our involvement in society, if there was a lack of connection it may lead to a person feeling unproductive and disconnected from their community.
