    Ist event: The French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War was the last and most important of a series of colonial conflicts between the British and the American colonists on one side, and the French and their broad network of Native American allies on the other. Fighting began in the spring of 1754, but Britain and France did not officially declare war against each other until May 1756 and the outbreak of the Seven Years War in Europe.

    This treaty ended the war and the british lost. So now that the british lost, they have to pay a lot of $$$$$. It really didn't affect the colonists because they were just fighting for more land but they seemed okay with what they had.

    The british told the colonist that the colonists were forbidden to cross the Appalachian Mountains because the british would not give the colonists protection. The colonists were not happy and they were angered because they didn't like being told what to do.

    The british needed money to pay for the war so they taxed all on sugar and molasses on the colonists. Many colonists wern't affected, but the idea of taxes was going to be a growing issue.

    The british needed more money to pay for the war so they passed down a Stamp Act and it basically taxed all legal documents and almost every single paper. The colonists were not happy at all, so they orginized a boycott, but then it got reapeled.

    An act for punishing mutiny and desertion, and for the better payment of the army and their quarters. Since the colonists won't pay for the war, they need to feed their soldiers with supplies so they sent a act saying that colonists have to care for the soldiers at their home.

    The Boston Massacre was a street fight that occurred on March 5, 1770, between a "patriot" mob, throwing stones, and sticks, to a squad of British soldiers. Several colonists were killed.

    The tea merchants weren't getting the money from their tea because the British East India Company lowered their tea prices and as a result of the Tea act, the colonists responed by doing the Boston Tea Party. They dumped more than 90,000 pounds of tea in to the Boston Harbon. The british did this because they needed money to pay for the war.

    Twelve of the 13 colonies sent delegates because they were facing attacks from the restive Creek on their borders and desperately needed the support of regular British soldiers. It was mainly called because of the company issues and the causes and effects of the Boston Tea Party.

    British troops were sent to Concord to capture John Hancock and Samuel Adams, but both men had been warned about the British attack. The night of April 18th, Paul Revere rode through Concord warning everybody about the British attack. So when the British came in to take and attack the Rebels, the Minutemen, Americans who were"ready to fight in a minute," were waiting to attack at Lexington. The Americans were withdrawing when someone fired a shot. It is know as the shot heard around the world.

    Built in 1755 by the French, Fort Ticonderoga controlled the southern part of Lake Champlain and guarded the northern approaches to the Hudson Valley. It attacked by the British in 1758 during the Battle of Carillon, the fort's defenses successfully turned back the enemy.

    The delegets of the thirteen colonies came together in Philadelphia to come up with a statement of positions in regards to the actions of the british. They made up the Declaration of Independence from britain. They chose George Washington as commander in chief over the newley found army.
