Help! I Think I have become a victim of fraud! What do I do?
-
I've done some research and I have discovered the National Association of Consumer Advocates! (NACA). According to my online book, "The NACA is a nonprofit association of attorneys and consumer advocates committed to representing consumers interests" (Online Textbook pg 6). I believe I can go to them for help!
-
With help from the NACA, I am now working with an attorney and many consumer advocates who want to help me! They will be a big part of helping me get my information back!
-
I will be extra careful now and I will never be a victim of fraud again! From now on I will be keeping an eye on my credit report with help from Equifax. My online textbook says, "There are three main credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian, and Transunion" (Online Textbook pg 6).
-
After this whole experience I have learned that idenity theives can use a lot of different information such as, "your name and address, credit card or bank account numbers, Social Security number, or medical insurance account numbers" (Online Textbook pg 5).
-
I would want to thank everyone who has helped me throughout this process! I am so happy that no one I know has expeiced this, but I could help them now if they do!
