Leaders

  • George Washington

    George Washington
My second example of a leader is George Washington, the first president of the United States of America. He was a great leader, who led his country through the wars with France, British armies, Hessians (German soldiers) and some hostile tribes from the country. He was a leader of war, and later became the first president of the United States. As a president he led the country through various wars, was against political parties, and stopped more than one rebellion.

George Washington was a person who showed a great amount of persistence throughout his life. The best example was when he was a general at war, and he led his team through war against various enemy parties. Even though he was defeated a couple times, he never stopped or gave up, and in the end he was able to defeat all his opponent’s, reached his goals and become president.

  • Mahatma Gandhi

    Mahatma Gandhi
The first leader that I chose was Gandhi. He exemplifies the trait of knowledge. Gandhi was a leader because he led the Congress of India in 1920, which he led to make India an independent country. But this is only one of Gandhi’s leadership examples. Throughout his life, he was always looked on as a leader, who knew how everything should be, and how to achieve it. He also led India through World War 1 and 2, and people almost created a religion for him, until he declared that he wanted no relig

He exemplifies knowledge in every one of his leadership actions, where he knows what to do about the problem in hand. He exemplifies knowledge mostly though his famous quotes, which have a deep meaning that can make a difference in how one sees the world. For example: “Hate the sin, love the sinner” or “You must be the change you want to see in the world”. These two quotes are very inspiring and show that Gandhi was very experienced and knowledgeable about many things.

  • Socrates

    Socrates
My third chosen leader was Socrates, who is known as one of the most famous philosophers in history. He was a person who studied philosophy and was always finding out about the universe, paradoxes, knowledge, virtues, and mysticism. He is still known and his quotes and paradoxes are very interesting, inspiring and mystical. He was a very “strange” person, because he was always figuring out ways to explain everything and asking questions, some of which have no answer yet.

He shows hard work because according to ancient texts, he never worked, and dedicated himself and his entire life to his goal, philosophy. He never stopped writing and thinking about his philosophy. One of his greatest quotes was: “I know that I know nothing”. This is a product of the enormous amount of time he put into his goal. He was a very hard working man, and he is now admired by people around the world because of this.
