Anna and her husband in latvia worked at a university but when they moved to america it was hard for them to find work. Anna tried to get a job at a university but her English wasnt good enough. Now she works as a playground aide at a elementary school.

Anna is having trouble fitting in because her English isn't very good. The children at the school she works for help her with her English and she takes classes at night. Her children are fitting in well despite struggling with the language.

Anna's oldest son misses his friends alot and says that American kids are "immature". He also misses his friends from Latvia. The thing about his friends from Latvia is a lot of them have left Latvia and moved other places.

Other immigrants from Russia, Poland, Croatia and Hungary live near Anna and her family. They sometimes garther at Annas house for picnics. Since most of them speak Russian and none of them speak very good english they tend to speak in Russian.

Anna would like to open a bakery because she loves to cook. Anna's dughter plays the piano and one day would like to go to Juilliard School of music. Anna belives in her daught and thinks she can reach this dream."This chance to fulfill a dream-this is why we came to america"~Anna.
