La salle was born on November 21 1643 in Rouen France. Rouen is a city on the River Seine in the north of France. It is the capital of the region of Upper Normandy and the historic capital city of Normandy.

La Salle was the first person in history to sail the intire Missipppi River. He returned from his expedition on April 9th 1682. La Salles adventure ended when he died. La Salle was the leader of teh group and they were lost without him.

La Salle first landed on Martagorda Bay on January 1st 1685 by mistake while looking for the mouth of the Mississippi River, After he landed in Texas he had to build a fort to keep from being harmed by the Indians. The fort is now called Fort Saint Louis.

La Salle died in Huntsville Texas. He was murdered by a man named René-Robert Cavelier. He influenced many people throughout his wonderous journeys. La Salle died of sickness that was going around the ship.
