  • Women Accepted into College

    Women Accepted into College
    The more educated that they became the more they could fight for equality with men in all aspects of life. Therefore, I am able to become whatever I want to today.
  • Plessy v. Ferguson

    Plessy v. Ferguson
    Upheld racial segregation but paved the way for the Civil Rights Act because they knew that being separate was not equal. If not for this case the push for equality may not have occurred.
  • Brown v. Board of Education

    Brown v. Board of Education
    This ended racial segregation and allowed children of all races to learn together, though all did not openly accept this. This case made it evident that something more needed to be done in the pursuit for equality.
  • Civil Rights Act

    Civil Rights Act
    This outlawed discrimination and allowed everyone to have “equal rights” including women. This made it unlawful for people to not be accepted anywhere based on what they looked like which allowed multicultural learning to occur also allowing us to learn more about each other.
  • Online Learning

    Online Learning
    This created virtual schools giving children access to classes that they wouldn’t have otherwise. It opened a plethora of learning opportunities for everyone.
