As a result of a rigged election Rhee comes to power over South Korea. The USA supports him only because he isnt a communist. -
North Korea Invades South Korea
The communist North Korea invades South Korea, with weapons supplied by the Soviet Union. The south is poorely equipted and is quickly over powered. -

A division of USA forces surprises North Korea. The attack was very sucessful and destroyed most the the armored units -
USA arrives
After the pleas from South Korea for help the USA finally gets involved. A large quanity of troops as well as supplies are sent over. This action quickly changes the tide of the war in the favor of the South -
China gets involved
USA and South Korea is starting to push through North Korea. China send 1 million troops over in support of the North. -
USA/ South forced back
With the help of the Chinesse North Korea pushes the USA and the South back, to just outside the captial of the South. -
USA/ South gains ground
After a long push the USA/ South gains ground to the 38th parallel. -
Stalemate
For the last two years both sides are fighting without any progress around the 38th parallel.Both sides fight on but no real ground is gained. -
Prisoner Swap
Both sides agree to release all prisoners. These men are then allowed to return home. -
Official Stalemate
Both sides crease fire. Defensive posistions are not taken down. There hasn't been a major conflict since.
