When the UN forces push the North Korean forces until the Chinese border, the Chinese send 200,000 troops into North Korea to fight back. -

The Chinese forces push South Korean troops out of North Korea and capture the South Korean capital. Macarthur proposes a nuclear attack towards the Chinese, but the US President Truman saw this as very dangerous and so removed him immediately from the army. -
UN has authority over South Korea
Fighting continues and UN troops obtain authority over South Korea. -
Agreement
The UN and South Korea sign an agreement of a border that divided North and South Korea, that was in fact not that far from the original 38th parallel. -

The French forces surrender to Ho Chi Minh. -

International Peace Conference that divided Vietnam into the North which was led by Ho Chi Minh’s communist government, and the South which was an anti-communist government set by the US and france and led by Diem. -

Diem was murdered after his dictatorship. -
