Uther invited all of the kingdoms' royalty to his palace for a feast. He spotted Igraine and immediately fell in love with her. She is currently married to a Duke.
-
Uther wants to find a way, perhaps using magic, to obtain Igraine's love.
-
Merlin put a spell on Uther to make him look like the Duke.
-
Uther, while the Duke was out, went to Igraine and slept with her.
-
Uther got word that the Duke that was married to Igraine had died in battle.
-
Uther went to Igraine to transfer her love for the Duke to himself.
-
-
After, what I would imagine would be, a quick turnover from the Duke to Uther, Igraine marries King Uther.
-
When Merlin made Uther look like the Duke, he exchanged that gift for Uther's word that Merlin would get to raise Uther's first-born child as his own.
-
King Uther gives Merlin his first-born, as promised. Igraine was displeased because she both did not want to give up her child and was confused as to why her husband believed this to be necessary.
-
-
King Uther dies in battle, leaving Igraine by herself, and the entirety of England in chaos and ruin.
-
Legend says that Uther was buried under Stonehenge. If we were able to look beneath Stonehenge and find out if there was a body under it, that might give us some proof of him being a real person at a time.
-
During this time, Arthur is living with his step-brother Sir Kay and, now his father, Merlin.
-
Since King Uther's death, England has fallen to chaos. Merlin, during this time, placed a magical sword in a stone in the center of Uther's kingdom inscribed with the words: "Whoso pulleth out this sword from this stone, is right wise King born of all England.". Many people tried to take the sword out, but none could.
-
After fifteen years of living with Merlin, learning how knowledge can be stronger than strength, Merlin thinks that Arthur is finally ready to lead England out of its own madness. Arthur succeeds in pulling the sword out. The crowd deemed him worthy of being their king.
-
-
Sir Kay tries to lift the sword in the stone before Arthur.
-
While staying at the castle, Arthur woke up from his sleep to the sound of a harp. He followed the sound until he came across a chamber in which a beautiful woman was playing a harp.
-
King Arthur, after a large battle, had a broken sword. He decided to rest overnight at a nearby castle.
-
The day after he met Guinevere, Arthur asks her father for her hand in marriage. He agreed.
-
Later the same day, Merlin takes Arthur to a misty lake and in it is Nimue, the Lady of the Lake. She gave him the sword, Excaliber. This sword is powerful and its scabbard won't let him die from a wound, so long as it's by his side.
-
Guinevere's father gave the couple a large round table. This table is big enough to seat King Arthur and all of his knights. All of the seats had, inscribed, the names of all of his knights, except one. This one was reserved for the greatest knight of them all. The round table allowed King Arthur and his knights decide how to deal with problems as a team.
-
One day in Camelot, four strangers visited. Three women, and a fourteen year old boy. Merlin told Arthur that the women were his half sisters by Uther. He told him that two of the women were visiting to make peace, but the third, Morgan le Fay, seeks his downfall. The boy was his son from one of the women, with whom he spent one night before he met Guinevere.
-
Merlin had only loved Nimue. She got annoyed with Merlin so she led him on and trapped him in a magical cave, using one of Merlin's spells she learned from him. Because it was his own spell, he was unable to excape.
-
Nimue takes the place of Merlin as King Arthur's advisor. She liked Arthur, but hated Merlin.
-
In the city of Corbenic, Lancelot kills a dragon that is terrorizing the city. The king of Corbenic held a feast for him and gave him his daughter. Elaine was a vey beautiful woman but he loved Guinevere. The king showed Lancelot the holy grail. The holy grail is the cup of that Jesus drank out during the last supper. He was not allowed to take the grail because he was in love with a woman who was already married.
-
Lancelot comes back to Camelot and tells Arthur all that has happened. As Lancelot is telling him his tales, a barge comes into Camelot and beckons the two. In the barge was Elaine. She killed herself.
-
Nimue brought to Arthur a boy named Lancelot. She wanted the king to train Lancelot as a knight and to knight him when he asks for it. Arthur agreed because he saw the potential in the boy. Later that day, Lancelot asked to be knighted, and he was.
-
Elaine, to seduce Lancelot, casts a spell on him and makes him fall in love with him. They sleep together and Lancelot, confused and angry, leaves Corbenic.
-
Lancelot is both Arthur's strongest knight and the queen's personal body guard.
-
When he went missing, the kng and queen searched for him everywhere but could not find him.
-
A beautiful woman came to the castle to bring Lancelot into the forest. His cousins, Sirs Bors and Lionel, were waiting with a young man. They asked that Lancelot would knight the boy. He figured out that it was his child by Elaine and agreed.
-
Galahad's grandfather, King Pelles, was the last known person to have the grail.
-
Sir Bors was the only one to return to Camelot after the quest of the Holy Grail. The other two knights, Sirs Perceval and Galahad, had not returned with Sir Bors. Perceval enjoyed the area around Sarras so much that he decided to live in the forests outside of that city. Sir Galahad realized that if he continued living after the quest, he would become impure. Because he felt pure after recieving the vision and returning the Holy Grail to God, he did not wish to corrupt that pureness.
-
Even though King Arthur knew Lancelot was in love with the queen, he kept Lancelot because he was the best knight he had, now that Galahad was dead. One night, Mordred came to King Arthur and told him that he saw Lancelot with the queen. He reminded the king of the penalty for adultery was death.
-
When Guinivere went out to for a horse ride outside the castle, Mordred and Arthur's men followed her. She met with Lancelot. As soon as she did, the men came out and grabbed the queen. Lancelot got away. They brought the queen back to Camelot for whom they held a trial. She was guilty and was prepared to be burned at the stake. Lancelot and his men rode in and Lancelot saved Guinivere and they both rode off together. Arthur followed him to Lancelot's castle in Wales.
-
Lancelot makes King Arthur a deal. Arthur agrees to take back Guinivere as his queen and for Lancelot to be in exile in France. Lancelot leaves for France, but Arthur, leaving Mordred in charge of Camelot, follows Lancelot to France because he wanted revenge for his betrayal.
-
While Arthur was away, Mordred, left in control, declared himself king and took Guinivere as his own. Arthur heard about this and sent a messenger to peacefully talk to Mordred.
-
During the peace talks, a snake bit one of Mordred's men so Mordred drew his sword to kill it, but both armies took that as a sign that the battle has begun.
-
-
When they were fighting, former-king Arthur dropped Excalibur and its scabbard. He was now vulnerable. He didn't realize this because he saw Mordred, grabbed a spear and charged at him. He stabbed him and killed him, but not before getting sliced by Mordred. Arthur was dying and he had requested to one of his men to return Excalibur and its sheathe to the lake from where he got it.
-
He was then lifted by three spirits of the lake and brought into Avalon where he was being healed and prepared for when he is needed again by Britain.
-
The king did not have the Holy Grail, but he gave Galahad a sword that was broken in three pieces. It became one sword when Galahad held it. He had a vision that told him where to find the grail. He said it was in Britain and that Camelot was not worthy of it. It would be taken to the Middle East for God to take it.
-
In Galahad's vision, he was told to take the grail to the city of Sarras in the Middle East. That is exactly what they did. They made the journey to Sarras and when they got there, God took the grail up to Heaven with a bright light.
-
When lancelot returned, he gathered with his son Galahad and the knights at the round table. The empty seat now read “Four Hundred and Fifty Years Have Passed Since The Passion Of Our Lord Jesus Christ: And On The Day Of Pentecost This Seat Shall Find Its Master.”. Galahad took his rightful place at that seat. Later, a symbol of the Holy Grail appeared over the table. They all knew they have to search for the grail now.
-
Arthur and his men attacked Lancelot's castle for months. They could not get in, however Lancelot and Guinivere could not get out.
-
Most of the knights did not return, but if they did, they returned badly wounded. Three knights stayed out to look for it: Sirs Bors, Perceval, and Galahad.
