    The 7 Years War
    The 7 years war was fought 1756 until 1763. Some people consider the 7 years war to be the truly 1st World War: This belic conflict was fought in a lot of Fronts: Europe: The war was between Prussia, German States & UK vs The Austrian Empire, Russia & Sweden. America: The war was fought between France & Spain vs the UK Asia: The UK fought for the control of India agaisnt France. This war gave and advantage in the wolrd geopolitics, being the UK the dominant superpower
  • Peninsular War

    Peninsular War
    The Peninsular war was a conflict due to the invasion of France on the Spanish Mainland. The spaniards agreed that French forces could pass through Spanish territory in order to invade Portugal. The troops took a detour and took control of Spain in a span of weeks. The Spanish crown was overthrown and estabilshed as a puppet State under the orders from France. The Spaniards resisted this invasion and started a guerilla wars tactics against the French.
  • The 2nd French intervention in Mexico

    The 2nd French intervention in Mexico
    The Second French intervention in Mexico started due to the debt payments under Benito Juarez presidency. France did not like this and gathered the Spanish & UK to invade together Mexico. In the end Spain & the UK left the invasion and left France alone. France established a puppet State under Maximiliano II. Benito Juarez´s army applied the guerrilla tactics to overthrown Maximiliano´s 2nd Mexican Empire.

    The Berlin Conference
    The scramble for Africa was a process where European powers fought for colonies in the African continent. The conflict between European powers almost led to war.
    Otto von Bismarck called all the European powers leaders to Berlin to negotiation and partition of Africa.
    This did not include any African representators, only the Europeans. This led to the separation, partition of African communities, villages and also put different ethnicities in one state.
  • Spanish American War

    The cause of the Spanish-American war was the sinking of the U.S.S. Maine in Habana, marking the declaration of War The War was fought on the south Pacific front, were the US invaded the Philippines with the help of Philippines revolutionaries that saw the US as a helping power and not as a "new ruler". Spain was overwhelmed and surrendered. After the war, the us gave 20 million dollars for The Philippines. Guam and Puerto Rico became colonies from the US. Cuba became independent.
