    The Battles of Lexington and Concord
    The battles of Lexington and concord were the first military engagments between the British and Americans. They were fought in Massachusetts Bay. The US had more than double the soldiers and only a few people dies in total.
  • The Siege of Ticonderoga

    The Americans belived Ticonderoga fort to be a tactical position. Where ammunition was abundant. The Americans decided to attack eraly in the morning and caught the British off guard. The Bitish surrendered although one American was reported captured during that siege.
  • The Battle of Bunker (Breeds) Hill

    The British decided to take control of Dorchester Heights. While the Americans were alarmed by the amount of British soldiers were gathering up. The Americans marched up breeds hill and created a fortification made up of trenches. While the British marched up the hill with their heavy bagpacks. Even though the hill was captured by the British after their third attempt this battle made both sides realize that this war isnt going to be easy and made the Americans think that they could win the war.
  • Battle of Quebec

    The US colonists set out to conquer Quebec. Before the siege there were a series of battles. The British were expecting reinforcements so they decided to stay inside their fortifications. The Americans ended up losing the siege because they couldn't break throught the walls

  • The Battle of Saratoga (Freeman's Farm)

    About 4 miles from Saratoga the battle occured. Both sides lost about the same men (500-600). The Americans pride and sense of patriotism rised when they withstood the best regulars that the British could field. A small force of Americans tried to recapture Ticonderoga, though unsucessful brave. The French were persuaded to support the Americsns. King Louis XVI signed the Treaty of Alliance
  • The Capture of Savannah

    The Bitish fielded more than triple of the American soldiers (3100 men). Brigadier General Robert Howe made an attempt to withstand the siege of Savannah. The American forces where flanked and defeated. Brigadier General Robert Howe was forced to march back to South Carolina
  • The Siege of Charleston

    The British decided to siege Charleston which would be considered as on of the partiots biggest defeats. The British had almost triple of the American forces.
  • The Battle of King's Mountain

    The Patriots who had 900 men won the battle against the loyalists who had 1200. Patrick Ferguson (commander of the loyalists ordered them with a whistle). The Patriots had good hunters trained to kill a moving animal. Peter Ferguson was the only British man who died in that battle, all the others were loyalists. After the battle ended Cornwallis retreated back to South Carolina.
  • The Battle of Yorktown

    This battle was the last battle in the American Revolution. It was a combined operations between the French and the Americans to push out the last of the British forces. The American-French force fielded almost triple the amount as the British.
