Kevin Mitnick was born August 6th 1963 into a jewish family and grew up in Los Angeles California.

When Mitnick was 13 he used dumpster diving and social engineering to bypass the punchcard system used by the bus system in LA.

Mitnick gained unauthorized access to a computer network when he was 16 years old. He did this by breaking into the computer network and copied their software.

In 1996 Mitnick authorised his first book. The book was titled the Fugitive game.

Mitnick was charged and convicted for breaking into the computer network for the crime committed 9 years ago.

Mitnick paid for his past crimes by spending 12 months in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release.

Mitnick hacked into Pacific Bell during this time of supervised released. A warrant was then set out for his arrest and he fled, staying on the run for two and a half years.

Mitnick was found after all this time in an apartment North Carolina with over 100 cloned cell phones and forms of ID.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of wire fraud, two counts of computer fraud and one count of illegally intercepting a wire communication. He was sentenced to a total of 68 months in Prison
