The project started in 1406 and ended in 1420. The outcome of this project was a magnificent palace complex which is located in Dongcheng District, Beijing, China, which covers an area of 720,000 square meters.

The Bird's Nest is unique due to its bird nest shape and also because it was built as the main venue of the first Olympic Games held in China. The construction of Bird’s Nest began in 2003 and had a grand opening in 2008. The outcome was a 91,000-capacity stadium, to host sporting events, such as football.

The project was temporary as it began construction in 2009 and had a grand opening in 2011.
