Just Deserts

Event 1

2011 BCE

Just Deserts starts off at the school Ethan goes too. On Monday morning, he is called into the principal’s office. The principal is furious that he found a drunken impression of him done by Ethan on Youtube. Ethan doesn’t think he will get expelled, because his father is paying for a new building at the school. To Ethan’s surprise, he still gets expelled, and his father agreed to keep paying for the building.

Event 2

2011 BCE

That morning, he leaves the school, and is escorted to an airport via limo. Ethan’s father sent a private jet to pick him up, and Ethan thinks he is going home to New York. Ethan gets on the plane, and is rude to the pilot. To Ethan’s surprise, the fridge with the alchohol is unlocked. Ethan starts drinking, and passes out. The next thing he knows, the plane has landed.

Event 3

2011 BCE

Ethan thinks he is in New York, so it is a big surprise when he gets off the plane, and steps into sand. It turns out, he is in the Sahara Desert. Ethan is mad at the pilot for dropping him off in the desert, and again he is rude to the pilot.

Event 4

2011 BCE

The pilot gives Ethan a backpack with supplies/letter, and tries to fly away. Ethan stands in front of the plane, hoping that the pilot will stop, but at the last minute, he jumps out of the way, as the plane was not stopping. The letter that was given to him was written by his father. It tells Ethan that he has to walk 200km across the desert in 7 days to get to Tunis. If Ethan is on time, he will get a lot of money. This money can be used for anything, and there is a plane ticket for anywhere.

Event 5

2011 BCE

Ethan meets up with Larson, who is the guide for the trip. Together, they go to camp so Ethan can meet the rest of the group. There are 3 other people: Andy, Connor, and Kajsa. All 3 of them are friendly, but Ethan doesn’t get along well with them and is rude.

Event 6

2011 BCE

On Ethan’s first day of walking, he talks to Kajsa. He learns that she constantly has to go to the washroom. Ethan decides to use that to get inside Kajsa’s head. He makes her think that she should see a doctor when they get back.

Event 7

2011 BCE

When they finally finish walking for the day, Ethan is exhausted. He finds out that he developed horrible blisters, and his legs were hurting too. Lucky for him, Larson was able to fix his feet so the blisters weren't as bad. That night, Ethan learns that he has to share a tent with Connor, who snores, and is not very happy. Ethan’s only other option is to sleep outside, so he chooses the tent.

Event 8

2011 BCE

When Kajsa stopped for another washroom break, Andy kept walking, instead of waiting for Kajsa with the rest of the group. When Ethan told Andy to wait up, Andy kept walking, but turned around so he was facing Ethan. Ethan found out that Andy has bad knees, and like with Kajsa, he got inside Andy’s head. He made him think that he was going to get arthritis.

Event 9

2011 BCE

At their mid-day destination, they met a group of nomads who came to oasis with their heard of camels and goats. The nomads invited the group to stay for dinner, which put them behind schedule. At one point during the night, Ethan started to feel like the team, and like he belongs. That didn't last long, And Ethan stormed off to his tent and stayed there for the rest of the night.

Event 10

2011 BCE

Ethan got tired of Connor snoring, so he came up with a plan to keep him awake. He woke him up and told him he was sleep talking. Then he asked if "she" hurt him, hoping that that it would hit a nerve. It turns out it did, and Ethan got into his head, so Connor was thinking about "her", and not sleeping.

Event 11

2011 BCE

The next day, Ethan got lost. He was walking ahead of the group, and followed the wrong tracks,. Throughout the day, as he was walking, trying to find his way back,he emptied his pack. When it got dark, he stopped walking, and started flashing his flashlight around, trying to attract attention. Andy and Larson found him by following the trail of Ethan's belongings and following Ethan's light. Connor and Kajsa set up a huge bonfire at camp in case Ethan saw that and went there.

Event 12

2011 BCE

Because of having dinner with the nomads and Ethan getting lost, they were behind schedule. They had 2 days left to walk just over 100km, so they decided they were going to push themselves to make it on time. Over the next 2 days, they walked very far, stopping to take small breaks. They kept walking through the night as well. When Ethan saw Kajsa was struggling, He took some things out of her pack to make it lighter.

Event 13

2011 BCE

The last day before the deadline, they decided to push themselves and get there early. At around 3:30 am, before the sunrise, they started to walk the last 15km. They wanted to get there before the sun ROSE, instead of being there when the sun SET.
