Esperanza went to a farm with a servent Hortensia and her mother got on a farm from someone named Miguel and his family took them in and now Ezperanza and her family have to work to live there. -
The Disease
Mama gets a disease called Valley Fever that gets her very ill. So now Esperanza has to earn money for her grandmother to come and to pay bills. -

Everything turns around for Esperanza and her family. While Esperanza is poor and she screams at a friend that he gets upset and he runs away with all of Esperanza's money orders. -

When Miguel runs away he writes a letter and Esperanza goes down to the station and there she see's her grandmother!
