Childhood and adolescence
He was raise uo by his aunt because his mother died. In home, hi was fill with his father military thinkings andd his mother catholic ones.
His father joined him to the Spanish Explorers (the Spanish Boy Scouts) to teach him about military concepts. He learnt French and English while he studied baccalaureate in his house. He studied Laws in Madrid following his grandparents way. He studied the first year in home too, and joined the university the second one. In 1922, he finished the degree. -
Birth
Primo de Rivera was born in Madrid, his father, Miguel Primo de Rivera (1870-1930), ruled in Spain as dictator between 1923 and 1930, His mother was Casilda Sáenz de Heredia (1879-1908). -

Political beginnings.
In 1930, he joined the UMN (National Mnarchic Union) and the 2 of May he turned vice-secretary, with the aim of reviving his fathers memory. He faile in his aim of obtaining a member of the parliament seat, later, in 1932, he was arrested under the suspicion of having cooperate with the organised revolt by Sanjurio ( Spanish soldier). He denied it and was released. -
Primo de Rivera with Mussolini
Primo de Rivera was going to create an anti-parliamentary and anti-system party, so he needed help, he went to Italy to talk to mussolini but he only talked with him for 30 minutes and said that he needed an stronger personality to destroy a system and impose a new one. Franco & Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera
Franco didn't like Primo de Rivera, he prefered other parties like CEDA, with GIl Robles. Franco didn't want to annoy the Falangists and when Primo de Rivera was in jail, he pretended to try that he gave soldiers to the Falange to rescue Primo de Rivera, but finally he moved his soldiers away. Franco kept quiet the death of Primo de Rivera until 1938 -

Creation of the Falange and merger with the JONS (National-Trade Union Offensive Boards).
The Falange was created in the Comedy theatre in Madrid, withe the essay: A Spain united by a universal destiny that overcomes the class struggle and nationalisms, the conception of a new man bearer of eternal values and a social justice that provides man with a dignified and human life. Then, in 1934, The Falange joined the JONS, from Onésimo Redondo. Later, the triumvirate disappeared and Primo de Rivera turned the only leader. -

His government structure planification
Between 1934 and 1935, he wrote the composition of his government, it would be formed mainly by Falangists, and also Franco, Emilio Mola and Ramón Serrano would be a part of it. Although he planed various ideas for the insurrection, no one got enough support, so he asked for help to Franco, but Franco nonly refused. -
Italy gave money to the Falange
After 2 years from the conversation between Primo de Rivera and Mussolini, the Italian Fascist Government started to gave 50000 liras every month to the Falange thanks for being a foreigh agent of the Italian government. Finally, Primo de Rivera received the help he needed to be a serious and important party. But he lost the money after losing the elections in 1936. -
Spreading his message over Spain
During this year, Primo de Rivera went all over Spain doing meetings to spread his political ideas and the most of things he said were written in the Falangist newspaper "Arriba" and in the magazine "Haz". -
Elections 1936
In this elections, the Falange didn't agree anything with other parties so it continued alone, although Primo de Rivera wanted to be linked to the National front (Right and Left joined in two groups, the National and Popular forwards, respectively). The Falange only obtained 44000 votes, 0,7% of useful votes. -
Why was imprisioned
After the victory of the Popular forward in the elections, the Falangists started to do lots of violent incidents until the start of the CIvil War, like the attemp of killing the Socialist Luis Jiménez. The Falange was declared illegal beause of violence and illegal tenure of weapons. On 14 March, Primo de Rivera was imprisoned in the Modelo prison in Madrid for illegal possession of weapons and later, on 5 June, he was moved to the Alicante prison. There, he led the Phalanx thanks to visits. -
Death
The 20 of November of 1936, he was shot death in the prision playground after being in jail for 6 months. The sentence was decided by the Supreme Court. His death wasn't known by everyone until 1938
