Jonas accept being the reciever. He was brave even though he didn't knew what it was about. He accept being something he didn't expect and that mede him feel nervous and a little bit scared. -
Jonas recieves painful memories
Jonas recieved good and painful memories. He had memories of war, killing and suffering. Even though he felt pain, he was brave and didn't give up. -
Jonas didn't take the pills
Jonas take pills for stirrings every day. When he becomes the reciever, he wants to feel the stirrings again and stop taking the pills. He wants to stop being the same and he starts changing -
He confronts his parents about loving him
Jonas recieves the memorie of love, buthe wants to know if someone loves him. He asks his parents if they love him but they don't know what is that. The only one that loves him is the Giver. -
He wants to know about release
Jona's father release babies, but he never talks about it. Jonas has the opportunity to watch the release of the tweens and he was brave enough to see it. His way of thinking of his father change becausehe though he was a good person. -
He left the community
Jonas decides to go away from the community because he wants to change things. He is brave because he leaves his parents, he goes without food and without knowing where is he going. But he is not alone. -
Jonas took Gabriel with him
Gabriel was going to be released the next day. Jonas love him too much and take him and go away from the community. This was very brave because jonas saved Gabriel's fife. -
He gave memories back
When Jonas went out of the community, he gave back memories. When a receiver was released or escape from the community, memories stayed in the community. The Giver stayed in the community to help people when that happened. -
He gave Gabriel all his happy memories
When Jonas and Gabriel were escaping, he gave his happy memories to Gabriel so he stayed calm. When it was coldhe gave Gabriel memories of sun, he gave him happiness and love. Jonas didn't had happy memories because he wanted to protect Gabriel and he didn't cared if he stayed without happy memories. -
Jonas protect Gabriel when they were in Elsewhere
When they were escaping, Jonas did everything to protect Gabriel. They were un a tall mountain and it was snowing, Jonas warm Gabriel with his clothes and memories of sun. It was brave because he preferred dying of cold and protect a baby.
