    Autograph suspension
Over the off season between Manziels freshman and sophmore year, Manziel let a lot of the hype over his Heisman Trophy get to his head. Besides having a lot of controversial pictures and stories get out, Manziel was suspended for the first half of the season opener his sophmore year. Manziel was suspended for autographing footballs and other memorabilia and selling them for his own money. This is very strictly against NCAA rules, and without an appeal his suspension would have been even longer.

After another outstanding season his sophmore year and winning a second consecutive bowl game, Manziel was a highly rated NFL draft prospect and was expected to go in the first round. Manziel was taken by the Cleveland Browns as the 22nd overall pick. If Manziel didn't have any off the feild problems going into the NFL, he could have been taken even higher. Manziel then signed a 4 year, $8.247 million dollar contract. When Manziel walked on the stage doing his signature money sign, he was ready.

In his second year, Manziel was finally named the started for almost the whole second half of the season. However, this was announced over the week the Browns had a bye. Later that week a video surfaced the internet of Manziel partying with alcohol. The Browns coaching staff was so appauled that Manziel was immediately demoted to third string QB and he never played again that season. • Return to football

    Return to football
After a long time sitting out of football and having time to think, Manziel is now hopeful in making a return to football in the near future. Currently, no NFL teams are talking to him, but he is in current talks with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. If Manziel plays well there and keeps himself out of any trouble off the field, there's a chance he might make it back to the NFL. It's a tough road, but Manziel hasn't given up on his football dream even after not playing for two seasons.
