    John F. Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917.
  • African American Education

    African American Education
    In the 1960 campaign, Kenneedy promised in his campain to give African American children a higher education. This made a lot of white (south) not support his, and a lot of African Americans (north) support him in what he was trying to accomplish.
  • The Youngest President

    The Youngest President
    John F. Kennedy was elected on November 8, 1960. He was the youngest president ever to be elected. He got elected at the age of 43 years old. Despite all of the people who thought that he couldn't be president at that young, he pushed through and proved them wrong when he won the election, That's what makes a great leader.
  • Civil Rights Commision

    Civil Rights Commision
    Kennedy helped the Civil Rights Commision by helping the discrimination against African Americans, making a large quantity of his votes to be African American. Once he got in to office he helped by moving African Americans into office.

    In 1961, Kennedy was included in on a plan by the CIA to help train the Cuban exiles fight back against their homeland invasion. The plan included putting the trained Cuban exiles and elements of the Cuban Military would go back in and try to overthrow Castro. Once they had overthrown Castro and build up a non-communist government that's friendly to the United States.

    In July 1961, President John F. Kennedy announced that the United States might have to defend it's rights in the Berlin MIlitary. Then in the summer of 1963 JFK was greeted in Berlin he gave his greatest speech to keep the Berlin people strong and to claim him rights over in Berlin.

    In October 1962, an American U-2 spy plane was spotted ebing built by the Soviet movement. He didn't want the Soviet Union to know that he knew so he requested a blockade of ships around Cuba to stop the incoming military supplies. They both agreed to ve their nuclear weapons and by 1963 there were signs of lessenibng between the two.

    In 1963 President Kennedy helped overthrow President Diem in Vietmen after refusing an American offer of saftey if he agreed to resign, they assassinated him. Kennedy helped the United States keep their commitment to Vetnam.

    Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty
    In 1963, Kennedy agreed, along with the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union to sign the Limited Nuclean Test Ban Treaty. Kennedy thought that it would help the United States stay on good terms with some old enemies, such as the Soviet Union.

    Kennedy had compained a slogan of "getting American moving again" in the 1960 campain. So in 1962 he cut income taxes from a range of 20-19% to 14-65%. When he did that the economic growth expanded a substantial amount.

Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, During the year he was assassinated, he and hsi political advisers were preparing for the next presidential campaign alothough he hadent announced his candidacy yet. He held a fued with the people in Texas, but he thought he would try to win them over before the next election, unfortunalty he never made. Once a leader, always a leader.
