    Gave parliament the sole power to make laws, raise taxes, and control the nations army
  • December 16, 1773 – Boston Tea Party protesting Britain’s rule

    Federalist: liked the constitution the way it was written
    Anti-Federalists: wanted the bill of rights
  • December 12, 1788- United States Constitution is ratified (approved)
