    He was given a choice between spending two years in prison or joining the Army. Hendrix picked to enlist in the army. During the army he showed no skills at all, so the army decided to discharge him.

    At Cafe Wha in NYC, Jimi and Chas met up and Chas told him to go back to London and form a band. Chas was the bands manager and found two others. Mitch Mitchell (drummer) and Noel Redding (bassist) Togethe w/ Chas Chandler they formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience

    After Jimi's huge success in the U.K he came to the USA to preform at the Monterey International Pop Festival. This is where he grew more than ever. Playing the song Wild Thing and making an amazing preformance he quickly became became one of most popular and highest grossing touring acts in the world.

    After there huge hit album in the U.K hendrix followed it with Axis: Bold as Love. Axis: Bold as Love took a while to record, becaue Jimi and Chas took their time with the editing to make sure it was to their liking.

    While Hendrix was working on his new record studio in NY called Eletric Lady Land, the band and him weren't doing the best together. Hendrix wanted to focus on the studio, instead of touring which made fans upset and other band members. The Band broke up early 1969.
  • Woodstock

    After the band broke up, Hendrix got a chance to play at a new large event called Wood Stock. Jimi joined a group called Gypsy Sun & Rainbows. The group had Jimi Hendrix, Mitch Mitchell, Billy Cox, Juma Sultan. and Jerry Velez. During there wood stock event Hendrix opened up with the song Star Bangled Banner. He played this on his guitar and made sounds that blew the crowd away.

    Band of Gypsys
    After woodstock Hendrix got together with Buddy Miles and Billy Cox. This new group playeed 4 venues from the 31st of Dec and the 1st of Jan. This was a new start for Hendrix and his new band. Later on Buddy Miles left and Mitch Mitchell came back.
  • Death

    Hendrix died in the middle of september, he choked on his own vomit. Hendrix at this time was heavily into drugs, which did not help his death.
