His family had a scare economic resources. When he was a child, he learnt to play the piano wonderfully.

He published his first album in december 1956. The album sold very well in south America, being a reason to write an article in the Billboard magazine -
In 1979, Lewis switched to Elektra and produced the critically acclaimed Jerry Lee Lewis, although sales were disappointing.
In 1986, Lewis was one of the inaugural inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He has done a tour called "Great balls of fire" in 2017 in NYC, LA,California...
