1983, At the age of 8, Jamie began working in his parents restaurant, ‘The Cricketers’.

1983, A the age of 11 he had developed the skill to cut vegetable with a much speed and precision as the rest of the staff

In 1991, he began to attend the Westminster catering college at the age of 16

1993, Later he worked in France, learning and developing his skills further

1995, After his overseas trips Jaime returned home to England where he worked as Head Pastry chef for Antonio Carluccio at the Neal Street restaurant. It was here he learned to produce fresh, simple, flavoursome food, (or comfort food as he described).

1997, was year Jaime made a unscripted appearance on the restaurants show. He made a good impression and had a strong personality, so the next day the company rang Oliver and asked him to host his own show ‘The Naked chef’

1998-1999 Jaime Oliver successfully hosted two seasons of his show ‘The Naked Chef’

2000, ‘Jaime’s Kitchen’ a television documentary series was released by Oliver. On the show he would mentor 15 unemployed youths and at a time and teach them cooking skills.

2001, yet another television show would air. In this show Jaime would run a school in England canteen and produce healthier and more beneficial food options and therefore teach children important life skills. This year also held the start of Jaime’s ‘Feed Me Better’ campaign in which he set out the task to change unhealthy eating habits. The government agreed so much with this crusade that they payed 280 million pounds to schools to provide healthier food for kids.

2003, Jaime Oliver was awarded a MBE in the Queens honour list.

2006, Publishes seventh book, ‘Cook With Jaime’ quickly it becomes massive best-seller. All the profits he made from the book went to the ‘fifteen foundation’ to help more young people to start a career in catering.

2008, a new television series is shown, ‘Jaime’s Ministry of Food’ this is about motivating people who aren’t inspired to cook.

2010, saw Jaime produce his very first day time show, ’30 Minute Meals’. It was all about proving to people food can still be quick and delishes.

2011, Another series of ‘Jaime Food Revoulution’ is released.
