On December 28 1994 Jacob Matthew Christensen is born in an unspecified small town in South Dakota. He is the youngest of 8 children.

At a very young age Jacob Christensen developed a love for videogames and music. His parents banned videogames in their house for a large portion of his childhood which he has brought up in multiple videos such as "Flash Games Mattered", and "When Bioshock Was My Only Friend". He grew up in Hot Springs South Dakota with his 7 siblings and his cousins for most of his childhood. At some point he and his parents moved to Colorado for a year, and then back to Hot Springs the following year.

Jacob Christensen graduated from Hot Springs High School in 2013. Some time later he went to college, but he had to drop out only 2 weeks in because it was too expensive, he saved his money and got a gaming pc. He jokes about it a lot in his videos.

Jacob Christensen creates his youtube channel under the name "NakeyJakey". He would stick with this name to this day.

NakeyJakey uploads his first video, about Metal Gear Solid 5 and Grand Theft Auto 5. He talked about how if they shared their best qualities it could make a much better game than both of them.

Jacob continued to upload videos similar to his first for a while, mixed in with some other types of videos such as "Top 5 Things Fallout 4 Messed up", "Firewatch Review", and "HOW TO TELL IF A GIRL LIKES YOU IN 5 EASY STEPS" an April fools day video where he presented very obviously awful advice on how to get a girlfriend in a serious and comedic way. He developed another type of video called "Rap Review" where he would review games in a rap.

NakeyJakey uploaded his first video to surpass 1 million views. "Grand Theft Auto IV - True or Nostalgia?" is a video in which Jacob examines Grand Theft Auto IV and talks about if his love for the game is caused by nostalgia or because its a good game that still holds up today.

Some time in August or September of 2016 NakeyJakey surpassed 10 thousand subscribers. Jacob Christensen responded by putting out a rap song thanking the people that subscribed to his youtube channel

NakeyJakey releases his first song on his album "Dead Friends" titled "Cafeteria". "Cafeteria" is mostly made up of samples from other songs.

"NakeyJakey" uploads a video celebrating the one year anniversary of his channel. In this video he talks about how his channel started, and where the channels going from that point on.

Some time in January or February of 2017 NakeyJakey surpassed 50k subscribers. He celebrated this event by making a Rap QnA video where he answered questions asked by fans in a rap. NakeyJakey calls his fans " Hot Boys" and "Gamer Girls" btw.

NakeyJakey releases his second song on "Dead Friends" called "South Dakota". "South Dakota" is about his home state and his childhood.

Jacob has now surpassed 100k subscribers, in order to celebrate this milestone he made a song called "Saintlike". "Saintlike" is also about self worth, Jacob said in his own words that its about loving yourself.

NakeyJakey is getting extremely popular, and his channel is growing really fast. He's beginning to develop his own unique style of videos.

Jacob releases yet another song on "Dead Friends", "Medium". Jacob says that this song is dedicated to his dead friends, and he talks about how the lyrics mean a lot more than what they sound like, he then gave context for them.

NakeyJakey releases his 5th song on "Dead Friends", titled "Moby Dick". "Moby Dick" is about heartbreak at a young age.

Jacob got 500k subscribers on his youtube channel. He responded by making a post on instagram where he thanked his fans.

"Rockstar's Game Design Is Outdated" is the title of NakeyJakey's currently most viewed video on his channel. Its a nearly 40 minute video about Rockstar Games newest title Red Dead Redemption 2, and how Rockstar needs to change their formula for games. He made another longer video about The Last Of Us 2, similar to the one about Red Dead Redemption 2 on September 30 of 2020.

Jacob launched a second channel to coincide with his new video "Disney Channel Original Movies". He started it because of a joke he made in the video "Zenon The Zequel, cause apparently were just making up words now. Make sure to subscribe to my second channel, Jaquan The Jequel." Here he would post some extra content such as, "welcome to the channel lol", "status update", and "game of the year 2019".

He streams on Twitch every once in a while with his friends Gus Johnson, Eddy Burback, Drew Gooden, etc. Sometimes he even makes appearances in their videos or on Podcasts like the Gus And Eddy Podcast or The Official Podcast.
