League of Nations First Meeting
League of Nations met for the fisrt time. The group was put together to come to a common goal about not having another world war. It's main purpose was to mediate differences, to resolve porblems peacfully. It failed, in the end, because it had no power to back it's words up and in the end lead to WWII. -
United States elects Warren G. Harding
United States elects Warren G. Harding for president due to his "return to normalacy" policy. This policy was made so citizens can return to the way of life before the War started. Harding was elected as people were not happy with the war in Europe and Woodrow WIlson's plan to keep the United States involved with Europe via League of Nations. -
Death of U.S.A. president
United States president, Warren G. Harding, dies of a strok in a San Francisco hotel room. The president to take white house after Harding's suprise death was republican and former vice-prsident while Harding was in chair was Calvin Cooldige. -
Chinese Immigration Act of 1923
Federal governemetn passes a law that virtually excluded Chinese immigrants coming to Canada. This tax ended the Chinese head tax. The Chinese head tax was abolished by the imigration act , which stopped Chinese immigrants all together except for businessmen, clergy, educators and students. -
Vladimir Lenin dies, leading to Joseph Stalins rise
In the Soviet Union, Joseph Stalin took over as the leader of the Communism Party. After Lenin's death, Stalin set out to destroy the other party leader and take total control of the Soviet Union. -
Canada makes Progres Towards Independence
At the 1926 Imperial Conference, Canada made great progress towards its dependence on Britain. The imperial conference of 1926, endorsed Prime Minister Makenzie King's independant action of signing the Halibut Treaty without Britain. This agreement between the United States and Canada. This was extremely important as it was the first time Canada signed a treaty without the consent of England. -

After the law of alchohol being probhibited, gangsters started to rise. This mostly that took place in Chicago. The gangsters in 1933 started making and selling alcoholic drinks. This made the gangsters rich. It was a law not to do anything with alcoholic drinks since 1931. -

Franklin Delano Roosevelt starts up a lot of federal programs to help with agriculture. The taxes became more fair and the federals hosted jobs to get people back to work during the great depression of 1930s. -
Hitler became the chancellor of Germany
Hitler became the chancellor of Germany. Italy invades Ethiopia in 1935 and then Japan invades China in1937. Hitler and his army goes into Austria in1938. Because of this Italy, Japan, China and Germany came out of the League of Nations. -

Germany invades Poland
Germany invades Poland then Great Britain declares war. After this all of Europe is fighting as well. This started another world war. The U.S.A joined WWII in 1941.
