  • The Beginning

    The Beginning
One of the main characters, later known as Inkling, awakens from Mr. Rylance's sketchbook as the reincarnation of all the ink Mr. Rylance had used to ink his drawings. Immediately after his awakening, Inkling is frightened by Rickman, the Rylance family's cat. Scared, Inkling hides from Rickman by exiting the sketch room and entering Ethan Rylance's room, the son of Mr. Rylance and the other main character. Inkling then peacefully stays underneath Ethan's bed until sunrise.
  • Dreadful Drawing

    Dreadful Drawing
Ethan wakes in a hurry. Late the night before he had spent all of his time trying to draw the panels for his school comic book project. He hated drawing but he had no choice for all of his friends and classmates assumed that he had inherited the excellent drawing skills from his father, the creator of one of the most beloved comic book series. He didn't. While Ethan is getting out of bed, he hears a noise coming underneath his bed. Startled, Ethan grabs his hockey stick and outcomes an ink blob.
  • New Face and New Friend

    New Face and New Friend
Absolutely terrified, Ethan scrambles around his room. The blob does the same. After regaining his senses, Ethan then becomes very curious about what this thing is. He soon finds out that this blob is the ink from his dad's sketchbook, and he names him Inkling. Exhilarated, Inkling jumps and hops and runs, and skips around Ethan's room, sucking up a bunch of words from books. After all of these shenanigans, Ethan asked Inkling if he's ok and, to both of their surprise, Inkling writes "yes"!
  • Down Sisters and "Coma Dads"

After learning all about Inkling, Ethan runs to the kitchen, for he needs to take care of his little sister called Sarah. Sarah has Down syndrome and makes it difficult for her to do stuff her self. While Ethan is trying to convince Sarah that she can't have ice cream for breakfast, Mr. Rylance enters the kitchen. He is barely awake, and Ethan usually calls him "Coma Dad" at this time of day. Once everyone was seated, Ethan was going to tell them about inkling, but then thought against it.
  • Best Friends and Old Foes

Ethan goes to school with his best friend known as Soren. Soren is a worrywart and once he and Ethan meet up he starts worrying if Ethan will ever finish his artworks. Ethan is continuously making up excuses to calm down Soren. Once they are in their classroom, Ethan's "foe", Vika Worthington is proudly showing off her beautiful and well-drawn panels, making Ethan very jealous. During their breaks, Vika is taunting Ethan, asking him to "draw like his dad". This makes Ethan very embarrassed.
  • Learn From the Best

Before and after school, Inkling is "teaching" Ethan how to draw. Ethan had asked him if he could because it's, you know, the ink of his dad's magnificent drawings. When they first started, Inkling would be the ink and would help guide the pen. After a couple of days, Ethan could draw a decent amount better than when he could before, and he was proud of that.
  • Birthday Bickering

Sarah's birthday is soon and Ethan and his dad are not too fond of one another at the moment. They are angry at each other because, during a conversation, Mr. Rylance talks about his wife and Ethan's mom, who had passed away due to a terminal illness. This makes Ethan very sad and angry, and he gets into a heated argument with his father. All of this happened while Sarah is peacefully munching on her spaghetti.
  • Captured!

While Ethan was at school, Inkling decided to explore the house. But, while next to a windowsill, he was spotted by Vika. Vika had some suspicions that all of Ethan's drawings were done by Mr. Rylance, but now that she has seen Inkling, she had to get him. She wanted to show her dad, Mr. Worthington, the publisher of Mr. Rylance's comic book series. To her luck, an open window is present and she found a glass bottle. Being able to sneak up on Inkling, she traps him in the bottle and escapes.
  • Birthday ParTAY!

It's Sarah's birthday today and everything is not going according to plan. Because of the fight, Ethan and his dad had a while back they forgot to prepare most of the things for her birthday. So, Mr. Rylance has to go to the store to buy a cake and he tasks Ethan to entertain Sarah and her friends. But, the one problem is that the game that Mr. Rylance played with the kids is that he would draw funny images. Even though that Ethan felt more confident drawing he couldn't impress them without Ink.
  • Operation I.N.K.

After the train wreck of a birthday party, Ethan had to get Inkling back from Vika, after receiving a hint from Vika herself that she took it. Ethan informs Soren about this robbery and he has an idea. He said that "if we could figure out where Inkling is located, we could save him!" And to do that, they did something that isn't really legal. They sent out a small drone into Vika house to eavesdrop on them to find out that Inkling is located in Mr. Worthington's office, so they went there.
  • Wait, THAT'S not Inkling!

Tonight is the night of the heist. Ethan and Soren head to Mr. Worthington's office in the dead of night. After some searching, they find the exact location of Inkling. But once they enter the storage room Inkling is located in, they find two versions of Inkling. one of them has multiple ink splotches around their cage and the other one looks barely alive. As soon as they see Ethan, they both write "hi Ethan" but one of them spells it wrong, making Ethan know that the smaller one is Inking.
  • Blotter Strikes!

After barely escaping the mutant Inkling known as Blotter when he escaped his cage and almost suffocated Ethan, the boys hurry back to Ethan's house. Alarmed, Mr. Rylance wakes up. Peter (Ethan's Dad) now knows about inkling and how he's been helping Ethan with his drawings. While this emotional moment is happening, one part of Blotter still survived on Ethan's shoe. Blotter springs back to life pouncing onto Ethan, slowly engulfing him, slowly suffocating him. But, Inkling comes to the rescue.
  • The End

Inkling goes to Blotter, and taunts him. Blotter, being an always hungry beast for ink, he starts chasing Inkling. Inkling goes to the sketch room, the same place he was made. Inkling goes to the sketchbook and jumps in. Blotter does the same. Little to Blotter's knowledge, the sketchbook takes away all of the Ink's power, leaving only ink blotches on the page. Inkling had sacrificed himself to save Ethan and Peter. He was no longer alive. After this, Mr. Rylance had made a book about Inkling.
