    This lawsuit brought to the court claiming that African American students were wrongfully placed due to them taking the IQ test. The IQ test was used as a gauge to place African American students in class. The results of IQ testing placed these students placed them in classrooms that wasn't beneficial in the learning process. In conclusion, the courts found that this testing was against the student's rights under the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.

    This lawsuit was brought to the court for reimbursements from the city of Burlington due to only offering a child with learning disabilities a limited accommodation in their education. Due to this, the child was placed in private school setting that better address educational needs. This caused the family to seek repayment from the city instead of being provided a free education. The courts contested if the school disagree with the special need placement than the child may be placed improperly

    This lawsuit was brought to the courts due to Garrett being provided a trained nurse due to health issues during his hours in school. This school district disagreed that they should be obligated to provided these services.The nurse would beneficial for Garrett to have in order for him to be able to attend school and further his education. The courts held the school district responsible for paying for nursing services for Garrett during his school hours.
