  • Covington v. Knox County Schools

    Covington's son was locked in a "time out" room without adequate ventoliation, heat, bathroom access or furniture to sit on. Covington stated the School Board violated her childs Fourth, Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. The School allegedly caused emotional harm and distress to her son during his school years.
    Judge ruled she was only allowed a money settlement since her son was already graduated from the school.

  • Disability Rights of North Carolina v. Wake County Board of Education

    Protecting and advocacy to disability services. School board was being investigated from allegedly restraining and neglected autistic children inside a classroom. School Board refused staff or record access to the Disability Rights board saying they were protecting the students interest.   • Doug C. v. State of Hawaii

    School district held an IEP meeting without parental participation.Parent sought rescheduling several times due to conflicts in parties schedules. Parent wants reimbursemnt of Private School tuition where student initially had working IEP in place to a public school.
