    The magna carta was originally typed in latin. The 1927 version was called "The Great Charter of the Liberties of England, and of the Liberties of the Forest". This is the first documeant that had to be on the english king(the first person to take the title " Rex Anglorum").
  • Mayflower Compact

    Mayflower Compact
    The Mayflower compact was written by the pilgrims. The pilgrims wrote the Mayflower compact while crossing the Atlantic Ocean Riding. The mayflower compact was signed on November 11th by 101 passengers on 41 of the ship's.

    The english bill of rights sets out rules for freedom of speech in Parliament (members of an important group in a special period of time), The bill of rights is still to happen,in cause or effect.

John locke (the author) held a high standard for how it was published. The book the Two Treatise of Government starts out with John Locke's hopes to achieve. This book focuses on the goverment!

Thomas Aquinas wrote a piece of writing that included the phrase "the state of nature". Humans have rules unlike animals , we have laws and animals dont.

    The spirit of laws was influenced outside of France. It was also translated in many differnet languages. It was suppose to be Montesquieu's Study of American Society. Thomas Nugent published the first english version. It is focused on a political theory which is a guess. A political guess can be something we plan for and think is going to go ok but anything could happen. Constitutionalism and the sparation of powers is also a main focuse in this book. Outlines the separation of power.

    The Thirteen Colonies, that is the governing of the united states came up with Continental congress. The Thirteen Colonies came up with Continental congress during the American Revolution. Gathered together and formed a new system of goverment.
  • Common Sense

    Common Sense
    Common Sense was published in the american revolution, and became an immediate success. Common sense was written by Thomas Paine, Benjamin rush also helped edit and publish it. In the paper Common Sense Thomas paine argued with the british against America not being a "British Nation". When he did argue with the british he used common words and pointed or stated the obvious.

    First writen contract or plan of govermeant. The Continental Congress took the Articles of Confederation on November 15th. The Articles of Confederation was for areas that had a weak goverments.

    Enlightenment was during the time period of western history. Enlightenment was in France from the 17th to 18th century. Jean Jacques Rousseau also helped write the Enlightenment. The goverment spoke about this law in a salon when they were talking amongst themselves. We live in an enlighten world!
