    The battle of Fort Sumter took place in Charleston, North Carolina on April 12, 1861, it was a battle between the Union and Confederates. South Carolina's militia also did certain things that made Abraham Lincoln in a tough situation, but he found a way to fight around it, and the Confederates ended up wining.

    The battle of the Bull Run happened on July 21, 1861.The battle took place in Fair-fax County and Prince William Country, Virginia. This battle was the first big battle of the civil war. Many people knew that it would be long and bloody. The Confederates ended up winning, which made many Northern States shocked.

    The Battle of Shiloh/Battle of Pittsburg Landing started on April 6, 1862 and ended April 7, 1862. The battle took place in Hardin County, Tennessee.The Union took victory making it so the Confederacy's thoughts about blocking the Union from Mississippi would not happen. What made the battle unique was the amount of people that were killed surprised people, especially because this war had the greatest amount of people any war had ever knew of up to this date.

What made the battle unique was the amount of people that were killed surprised people, especially because this war had the greatest amount of people any war had ever knew of up to this date.

    The Peninsular Campaign

    The Peninsular Campaign also known as the Seven Days' Battles started on June 25, 1862 and ended on July 1, 1862, it was located in Virginia Peninsula. The purpose of the battle was set by the Union's general, George B. McClellan, he wanted to capture the Confederate's capitol located at Richmond, Virginia from the southeast during the Civil War.

    The battle of Antietam happened at Washington County, near Sharps-burg, Maryland, it happened on September 17, 1862. This battle was important because after the Union had won, it helped Abraham Lincoln because he had the opportunity he wanted. He wanted to announce the Emancipation Proclamation. This made the battle of Antietam one of the crazy battles of the civil war.

    The battle of Gettysburg started on July 1, 1863, and ended on July 3, 1863.This battle took place in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and Adams County. This battle had the most amount of people killed during the entire war, and it is also known as the wars turning point. After a very bloody battle, the Union claimed victory.
  • The Battle of Alana

    The battle of Atlanta, which people also call the "fall of Atlanta". This battle was located southeast of Atlanta, Georgia, this event occurred on July 22. 1864. The Union's forces was commanded by William T. Sherman. Sherman had burned most of the buildings in the city, and he did not care if it was military or not. Around 70,000 people were in the battle, and around 9,000 were killed. After everything that had happened in the battle, the Union won.
